Driver charged over fatal Warrenup crash

The driver of a ute which yesterday collided with a motorcyclist, killing the rider, has been charged over the crash.

Major Crash officers have charged a 21-year-old Redmond man over the crash in Warrenup which claimed the life of a 41-year-old motorcyclist.

It will be alleged that at 12.05am, the 21-year-old man was driving a Holden Rodeo ute northbound on Albany Highway.

At the intersection of Rocky Crossing Road, the utility collided head-on with a BMW motorcycle travelling southbound on Albany Highway.

The rider of the motorcycle died at the scene.

The 21-year-old has been charged with Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death, Exceed 0.05 and No Authority to Drive.

He will appear before the Albany Magistrates Court on April 10.
