Road carnage continues

A 40-year-old man has died and two people are injured after a crash in Mandurah this afternoon.

Close to midday, a 4WD collided with a motorcycle on Sutton Street in Mandurah.

Several people crowded around the crash and it is believed CPR was performed on one of the crash victims at the scene.

Department of Fire and Emergency Service crews freed a person trapped in the 4WD.

The motorcycle rider was taken to Peel Health Campus on a priority at 1230pm and died in hospital a short time later.

Another person, who was in the 4WD was also taken to hospital, under normal road conditions.

Saint John Ambulance did not transport the third person involved in the crash to hospital, but it is believed they attended in a private vehicle.

The fatal crash continues a horror week on WA roads, with eight fatal crashes in the past seven days.

Five of those killed on the roads this week were on motorbikes and one was a cyclist.
