The Weekend West and The West Australian's photographers - along with some talented snappers from across the State - have again done the industry proud by scooping the West Australian Press Photographer of the Year awards.

_The West Australian's _Simon Santi took out the WA Press Photographer of the Year, while colleagues Ian Munro, Iain Gillespie, Steve Pennells and The Countryman's Danella Bevis were also recognised.

The winners were announced at the State Library in Northbridge last night.

Finalists' work will be shown until May 12.
