Lifesaver in court over assault
A 25-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl while he was working as a Surf Life Saving instructor has indicated he will defend the allegations.
Alex Lee Greenland is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl over a period of several months in 2010.
He was an instructor at a Surf Life Saving club at the time of the alleged incidents.
Mr Greenland is facing four charges of aggravated sexual penetration without consent and one charge of indecently dealing with a child under the age of 16.
He appeared in Perth Magistrate's Court this morning where his lawyer Mark Andrews indicated the 25-year-old would plead not guilty to the charges.
Mr Greenland's bail was renewed for him to reappear in court in June.
