Taxi driver on new sex charges

Sex Assault Squad officers have laid more charges against a taxi driver who allegedly indecently assaulted a disabled passenger.

The 58-year-old man has already been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual penetration without consent and one count of aggravated indecent assault.

He was driving a 29-year-old wheelchair-bound woman from respite care to her home when he allegedly assaulted her in a car park.

Police say further inquiries had identified 12 more indecent acts allegedly committed against two more women - one aged in her 30’s and the other in her in her 50s.

It will be alleged the offences occurred while the women were on separate taxi journeys in late January and early February this year.

The disabled women were seated in their wheelchairs in the back of the taxi when the incidents allegedly took place.

A Dianella man has been charged with another 12 counts of indecently dealing with an incapable person.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
