Men armed with a crowbar, a shovel handle and a knife threatened three people during a home invasion in Koongamia overnight.

Two men are in police custody after the home invasion on Kalara Way last night.

Police said two men wearing balaclavas smashed the front door and windows of the house and threatened the home's three residents with a knife at about 1.30am.

A Dog Squad officer and a police dog swooped on the home and were threatened by the two men carrying a crowbar and a shovel handle before they ran from police.

A Police Airwing helicopter tracked the men to a garden bed outside a home in Radford Place.

Police believe the incident could also be linked to a robbery on a 19-year-old man in Midvale earlier in the night.

The man was threatened with a crow bar while walking along Great Eastern Highway just before midnight.

The two men drove off in a Holden Commodore after the teenager handed over some items.

Two 29-year-old brothers are being questioned by police.
