Police have impounded a Lamborghini after a man allegedly drove it at 70km/h above the speed limit overnight.

The black Gallardo was seized for 28 days under hoon legislation after a 27-year-old man allegedly drove it at 140km/h in a 70km/h zone on the Mitchell Freeway southbound on-ramp in Kingsley.

The man, who is from Helena Valley, also allegedly drove with a suspended driver’s licence.

He is facing charges of no authority to drive and reckless driving.
