Woman hurt in Willagee car-jacking
Police want help to locate a car stolen during a violent carjacking.

Fremantle detectives are appealing for help to identify two people responsible for a violent carjacking in Willagee which left a woman with serious injuries.

The 30-year-old victim finished work at about 2pm yesterday and had just got into her car at the Archibald Street shopping centre when a woman reached into the vehicle and grabbed her handbag, police say.

When the victim got out to retrieve her bag, a man climbed in to the driver’s seat, locked the door and started the car, which still had keys in the ignition.

The victim tried to open the passenger door but was dragged for several metres and knocked to the ground as the carjacker drove off.

She suffered severe grazing and is being treated in Royal Perth Hospital.

The victim’s vehicle is a grey Honda Civic hatchback, registration number 1EFE 248.

Anyone who sees the stolen car should contact police on 131 444 and information about the violent theft can be reported to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
