School stranger danger alert
School stranger danger alert

Police remind parents and children to be aware of stranger danger after a man tried to lure a Darch schoolgirl into a white van on Tuesday.

The 11-year-old girl was running around the Ashdale Primary School oval with her classmates about 9.55am when she became separated from the group.

As she jogged by herself a white van reversed down Tullamore Drive and a man beckoned her into the vehicle.

The student told police that she had seen other men in the car.

The man who tried to convince her to get in the van had a grey beard, long stringy hair and has a slim build.

He was wearing a lime green polo shirt with black sleeves.

Anyone who saw the van or the man should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
