Youths bash Kalgoorlie man

Police are appealing for help to identify up to six youths who bashed and robbed a 48-year-old man in Kalgoorlie.

The man was walking along Hannan Street at 2am on February 22 when he was confronted by three youths and pushed to ground.

He managed to get up and walked along back streets before heading down a lane behind Meldrum Avenue, where he was surrounded and attacked by up to six young men, police said.

The man was knocked down a second time and his wallet was stolen.

The youths involved in the first assault were believed to have taken part in the second attack, police said.

One of the boys was aged about 17 and has brown curly hair.

Another was about 178cm tall, with a medium build and short brown hair.
