Man in court over road train crash deaths

UPDATE: A truck driver charged over the road deaths of a father and son in a fiery crash in Kellerberrin has been granted bail.

New South Wales man Jeffrey Moyle, 45, appeared in Perth Magistrate's Court today on two counts of dangerous driving causing death over the crash at a railway crossing yesterday.

He is alleged to have driven a prime mover into the back of a Holden Commodore stopped at a crossing.

The 54-year-old male driver and his 21-year-old son died after they were allegedly forced off the road into nearby bushland, where the car burst into flames.

Magistrate Michael Wheeler set Mr Moyle’s bail at $20,000 and asked for a $20,000 surety bond.
