Man, 87, allegedly hurt in parking stoush

An elderly man received extensive injuries in an alleged attack by a 39-year-old Orelia man yesterday.

Police were called to a business in Summerton Road Calista at about 10am, after a bystander noticed an alleged altercation between two men.

A police spokesman said it appeared the alleged offender confronted an 87-year-old man about the location he had parked his vehicle.

Police claim the offender pushed the victim over, injuring his arm, knee, thigh, hip and back.

The man was charged with aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm and is scheduled to appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court on March 13.
