Live Chat with the Premier

Premier Colin Barnett and the State Government have entered the new year surrounded by controversy.

Thousands of people have protested across the nation against the shark catch-and-kill policy.

The confronting picture of the first shark to be caught and killed inflamed an already emotional debate.

But the shark policy is not the only issue facing the State Government.

Its arrangement with prison services contractor Serco is under scrutiny after several escapes and now an investigation has been launched into how a drug trafficker serving a 15-year jail term was deemed a minimum security risk, which allowed him to walk away from a weekend soccer match.

There is no shortage of questions for the Premier.

Join our Live Chat with State Political Editor Gareth Parker and Premier Colin Barnett on Thursday at 9.15am.
