A 29-year-old Parkerville man is recovering in hospital after he was involved in a motorcycle crash.

At about 3.40pm yesterday, the man was riding a KTM motorcycle in Perth when he collided with a Ford Falcon sedan at the intersection of St George's Terrace and Victoria Avenue.

The 61-year-old Belmont man behind the wheel of the sedan was not injured in the crash.

The motorcycle rider, who was wearing a helmet but no protective clothing, was thrown from his bike.

St John Ambulance took the rider to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
