Fill-in Jeremiah Trueman has gone down with the same complaint as the man he replaced forcing the Perth Wildcats to again seek an injury replacement.

Trueman was ruled out of the road trip to Townsville after being diagnosed with mild concussion following a head clash with veteran Shawn Redhage during training,

The 26-year-old was assessed by the club doctor and it was decided he would miss tomorrow's game against the Crocodiles as a precautionary measure.

Trueman returned to the Perth roster late last month as cover for Matt Knight, who, too, had been beset by concussion.

Teammate Greg Hire said the blow to Trueman was an accident.

“Jeremiah competes and plays hard and unfortunately just copped an errant elbow from Shawn,” Hire said.

“So unfortunately he’s out, but it’s just been a physical week of practice.

“JT came in and did a fantastic role in preparing the team for the week, but it just gives someone else (Louis Timms) an opportunity.”

Perth added Louis Timms to the travelling party as support for centre Tom Jervis.
