A man in his 60s has been charged after the discovery of more than 100 cannabis plants in the South West.

Busselton detectives and Margaret River police charged the 65-year-old after executing a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant in Treeton yesterday.

"During the search of the property it will be alleged officers located 133 mature cannabis plants," police said.

"The plants were removed and seized."

The man has been charged with cultivating cannabis with intent to sell or supply and is due to appear in Busselton Magistrate's Court on February 18.
