Singer's on-stage electric shock

An audience has screamed in horror as a band's frontman suffered an electric shock at a crowded music festival in Argentine.

This Dominican singer suffered a serious electric shock midway through a song, collapsed off stage, then returned to finish his gig in front of thousands of fans.

Video footage from a mobile phone shows Nolberto, lead singer for the band Alkala, wander to the front of the stage mid-song and grab some metal scaffolding. He then starts to convulse and steam can be seen rising from his shoulder as electricity grips his body.

According to London's Metro newspaper, Nolberto was singing Yo por tu amor (Me for your love) at the Ranchillos music carnival at the weekend when he collapsed.

The electric shock caused him to crash from the state and land among the audience unconscious. Security guards and band members can been seen rushing to his side.

After a few minutes, Nolberto was revived and then amazingly returned to the stage.

"Nothing like this has ever happened to me before," he told La Provincia. "What happened was that the stage was damp, and when I touched the metal I suffered the shock. So to stop myself from being shocked I had to throw myself off the stage."
