Police are searching for a man who robbed a Hillman deli at knifepoint yesterday afternoon.

The thug entered the Hillman Supa Deli and Newsagency on Unnaro Street just before 4.50pm, threatening a staff member with the knife and demanding cash.

He fled on foot with about $400 and was last seen near Hillman Primary School.

Police described the man as 35 to 45 years old and 191cm tall with olive or tanned skin.

He was wearing a red t-shirt, brown shorts and a blue balaclava.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
