Warning for Ellenbrook blaze

Update: A bushfire in the western part of Parkerville and the eastern part of Hovea is now contained and controlled.

There is no longer threat to lives or homes but there is some smoke in the area.

The fire started between Seaborne Road and Alexandra Road and is now under control and contained.


A bushfire ADVICE has been issued for people in the western part of Parkerville and eastern part of Hovea in the Shire of Mundaring.

The fire has erupted just minutes from the scene of the disastrous blaze that destroyed more than 50 homes in the Hills.

The incident was reported at 3.39pm and the cause of the blaze is unknown.

Firefighters are on the scene and aerial support was been sent to assist ground crews.

A bushfire in the northern part of Ellenbrook has now been contained and is under control.

An Advice has been issued for people in, the northern part of Ellenbrook between Warbrook Road, Railway Parade and Maralla Road in the southern part of Bullsbrook and the northern part of The Vines.

Authorities were called to bushland near Helms Loop about 12.20pm.

The fire is burning in bushland near Pineroo Terrace, Feredy Loop and Maralla Road in Ellenbrook.

The blaze in contained and under control.

Eighty career and volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Bush Fire Service and Volunteer Emergency Service are on the scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

A number of roads have been closed including: Pineroo Terrace , Riverland Drive, Grassdale Pathway, Tickner Parade, Coalseam Street, Riverland Drive, Interlaken Loop, Powlett Link, Banrock Road, Dalgarrup Way, Adlington Way, Delapre Drive, Maralla Road.
