Double Lotto luck for WA's south

WA’s Lotto luck travelled south on the weekend with Division 1 winning tickets sold in Rockingham and Donnybrook.

The winning tickets, worth $513,011 each, were sold at Nextra Rockingham City Newsagency and Donnybrook Newsagency.

It was a case of history repeating itself for Rockingham after the town sold two Division 1 winning tickets worth a combined $1.7 million this time last year

For Donnybrook, it was the first time Division 1 Lotto luck had struck in about 20 years.

"The news is spreading across town very quickly. The community is extremely excited and cannot stop saying how fantastic the news is," owner of Donnybrook Newsagency, Angelo Logiudice, said.

"It’s been eight years since we took over the Newsagency and we have been waiting for a winner.

“We are hoping that it might even be a lucky local that has won the prize as it’s always great to see the prize stay in the community," he said.
