Prison escapee Bradley John McIntosh-Narrier.

UPDATE: A prisoner has escaped the custody of guards at a hospital in Perth's northern suburbs.

The prisoner was being watched by guards employed by security contractor Serco.

Police have warned that 27-year-old prison escapee Bradley John McIntosh-Narrier may be unpredictable and should not be approached.

The prisoner was at Joondalup Health Campus when he escaped in a car stolen from a woman in the hospital grounds.

He appeared in court this morning but was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

He managed to escape at 1.50pm.

McIntosh-Narrier is believed to be driving a black 2002 Toyota Rav 4, registration 1BFW590.

Regional Investigations Unit officers have called for the public's help to find McIntosh-Narrier.

Anyone who sees the escapee or the stolen car is urged to call police immediately on 131 444.
