Detectives have released images of people they would like to speak to about an assault at a bar in East Fremantle.

The attack at The Left Bank on New Year’s Eve left two men in hospital with head injuries.

Fremantle Detectives have called for the public’s help to identify the people in the images.

The two male victims were playing pool in the bar’s upper level about 11.20pm when they became involved in a "verbal altercation" with a group of strangers - believed to be several men and a woman.

"Without warning, one of the people punched the 18-year-old victim, causing him to fall to the ground," police said.

"A table was thrown at the 20-year-old victim, hitting him in the head."

Both victims were treated for head injuries at Fremantle Hospital.

"Police would like to speak to the four people who were seen near the incident, who they believe can assist them with their inquiries," police said.

One of the men is described as white, about 180cm tall with a mohawk-style haircut with shaved sides and a "rat’s tail".

He was wearing a white singlet and had several tattoos on his back and arms.

"Person two is a brown-skinned male, in his mid 30s, approximately 178cm tall with short dark hair," police said.

He was wearing a black singlet and dark shorts.

Another man is also described as white and has a mohawk-style haircut and a rat’s tail.

He was wearing a yellow singlet.

The female is described as white with long blonde hair.

She was wearing a black cardigan and a green singlet.

"There was a large number of people in the vicinity at the time of the incident; anyone who may have witnessed the incident or can assist with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000," police said.
