Charges over party death

A 23-year-old man from Atwell has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of unlawful wounding after a young father died from injuries received at an out-of-control party early yesterday morning.

The Forrestdale man, 20, was taken to Fremantle Hospital with serious injuries after police and St John Ambulance were called to the 21st party on Lydon Boulevard, Atwell, about 1.30am.

The accused man has been refused bail and will appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 13 January 2014.
