Two people have been arrested over a string of western suburbs burglaries.

A 28-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested after they tried to leave a Perth hotel in a stolen car last night.

The pair were wanted for questioning over a spate of burglary and stealing offences across Perth between October and January.

A police spokeswoman said it was alleged they were involved in a recent robbery on a Cottesloe home.

Two cars were stolen from the house on December 8 before being used to carry out eight burglaries on western suburbs businesses.

Both will face a string of charges in Perth Magistrate’s Court today.

Inquiries are continuing into stolen property that was found in the car last night.
