Police search for man in Armadale

UPDATE: Police are searching for a man who attacked a woman in Armadale this afternoon.

The 61-year-old woman was walking home from Sherwood Train Station about 1.40pm when she was followed by a man on a red bike.

The incident occurred on Warrina Place.

Police are in the area searching for the man.

"The man grabbed her and forced her to the ground," police said.

The woman managed to break free from her attacker and sought help.

She suffered minor injuries.

The attacker is described as dark skinned, in his early 30s, wearing a green baseball cap, and dark-coloured knee-length shorts and a T-shirt.

He was wearing long white socks.

Anyone who sees the man is urged to call police on 131 444.
