Bus driver assaulted in Alexander Heights

Police would like to speak to the man pictured.

Police are asking for the public’s help after a bus driver was assaulted in Alexander Heights.

At 1.15pm on November 11, the victim was driving a Transperth bus on route 344F.

He stopped at a bus stop on Mirrabooka Avenue, between Rawlinson Drive and Griffon Way, Alexander Heights and a male person boarded.

The passenger produced an invalid ticket and when challenged he became abusive to the driver.

He was ordered off the bus but refused to leave. He spat in the driver’s face and ran off after he was told police would attend.

The offender is described as being dark skinned, between 15 and 20 years of age, 167cm tall, medium build and clean shaven.

He was wearing a grey baggy sweatshirt, black shorts and black shoes.

Investigators would like to speak to the man pictured who may be able to assist with inquiries.
