Heavy rainfall for Kimberley
Heavy rainfall is forecast for the north Kimberley for the next few days.
A surface trough lies near the Pilbara coast and through inland parts of the Kimberley.
A tropical low north of the Kimberley coast will move west into the Indian Ocean during today.
For next 24 hours, widespread rainfall of 50mm to 100mm with isolated heavier fall is forecast for an area from Kalumburu to Kununurra.
Rainfall during the past few days and the forecast rainfall for next 24 to 48 hours in the North Kimberley may cause flooding.
DFES’s State Emergency Service advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock.
