Teen dead in ute tragedy
A 17-year-old boy has died after he fell from the back of a ute at Gnangara last night.
The incident happened on Lakelands Drive, near Colonial Circle, about 9pm.
A police spokesman said paramedics administered CPR and the teenager was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition by the RAC rescue helicopter.
"It is understood the boy fell from the tray of a Nissan utility," a police spokesman said.
He died in hospital overnight after suffering severe head injuries.
Major Crash officers are investigating.
The fatality is the third on WA roads over the Christmas period.
