Man arrested after cannabis tip off

Tip offs from the public have lead to the arrest of a 53-year-old man who was allegedly growing cannabis plants in his Maddington home.

Gosnells Police charged the man with cultivate cannabis with intent to sell or supply.

They will allege they discovered a hydroponic cannabis set up containing 26 plants when they executed a search warrant on Tuesday morning.

The estimated street value of the plants is about $100,000.

A police spokesman said the case highlighted the important role the general public can play in stopping drugs from hitting WA streets.
