Security vision from a Bicton home has shown the moment of impact when two cars collided, instantly killing a 28-year-old man.
The pictures show a Holden Astra and Holden Commodore colliding at the intersection of Harris and Pembroke streets, a notorious stop sign black spot.
The drivers of the two cars are alleged to have been involved in an aggravated burglary at Point Walter about 6pm on Tuesday in which a 50-year-old man was bashed and robbed of his motorised bicycle.
The footage from Stephen Pickford's security camera shows the Astra being pushed through his front fence before it crashes into four peppermint trees.
"We knew this would happen because we installed a camera there to catch it when it did happen," he said. "We knew that those trees were going to save our lives."
Bradley Ross Taylor, 18, has been charged over the incident and will face court today.
