UPDATE: 9.30am A 43-year-old man has been charged over the stabbing death of a 24-year-old woman in South Fremantle last night.

The woman was found collapsed in Scott Street at 8.20pm.

St John Ambulance officers attended and took the woman to Fremantle Hospital but she died after undergoing emergency treatment.

Police say they believe the incident was related to domestic problems.

Fremantle detectives and major crime police investigated and charged the South Fremantle man with aggravated grievous bodily harm this morning.

The 43-year-old man made a brief appearance in Fremantle Magistrate’s Court today.

He was not required to enter a plea and has been remanded in custody.
