Celine Bridge, Bec Jones, Hailey Barsden wear One Fell Swoop.

They were named best designer at this year's WA Fashion Awards, so it should come as no surprise that burgeoning local label One Fell Swoop has been chosen to open this year's Perth Fashion Festival.

One Fell Swoop - designed by Nikolina Ergic and Daniel Romanin, who met while studying fashion at the Central Institute of Technology - will show their spring/summer 2013 collection, titled An Illusive Tribe, to an invitation-only crowd at the VIP opening night of this year's PFF at the Perth Town Hall on September 19.

"Since winning most innovative designer at the 2011 WA Fashion Awards, One Fell Swoop is the perfect label to open Perth Fashion Festival," PFF director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan said.

"One Fell Swoop is an innovative West Australian label and continues to impress Perth with its signature style of beautiful draping, edgy sophistication and modern aesthetic.

"A garment's cut can make or break a design and its latest collection is truly polished.

"I'm sure there are plenty of people around Perth who, like me . . . really can't wait to see what's in store for us when it shows at one of WA's most prestigious venues, the Perth Town Hall. One Fell Swoop will be the ones to watch this year."

The full calendar of events for this year's PFF, which runs from September 19-25, will be unveiled on August 21.
