Jess Cate's dad dead, man charged

A 41-year-old man has been charged over a death at the Dawesville Caravan Park last week.

The Dawesville local was charged with grievous bodily harm over the incident that occurred about 9am on May 31.

Police allege the 46-year-old victim, a resident of the caravan park, was assaulted during a fight and later died in hospital.

The offender will appear in Perth Magistrate's Court today.

The charges may be upgraded pending the results of a post mortem examination tomorrow.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the altercation to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
