Prince joins SAS along Cott foreshore

Prince joins SAS along Cott foreshore

While his newborn niece became the focus of the world's attention, the next in line to the throne lapped up a seemingly conventional Sunday morning taking in Perth's coastline.

About 15,000km from where his Princess niece attracted a media frenzy after her birth on Saturday, her uncle Prince Harry went largely unnoticed as he ran along the Cottesloe foreshore.

Locals on the cafe strip barely looked up from their morning lattes as the now fifth in line to the throne joined the SAS for one of their regular training runs yesterday.

Dressed casually in shorts, a t-shirt and trainers, the Prince blended in among about a group of about a dozen of SAS soldiers, according to one onlooker.

The Blue Duck manager Briony Drummond said the presence of a royal would have been missed had it not been for a handful of locals left their seats after one caught a glimpse of him running past.

"The customers seemed quite happy about it," she said.

"I think the regulars got up and had a look."

It comes a day after the prince was spotted at the West Coast-Giants match last night.

Prince Harry has been training with the soldiers at the Swanbourne Barracks since arriving in Perth on Wednesday.

The group was seen heading into the ocean, although the Prince was not spotted among those in the water.

After another jog and press-ups on the oval the group was seen heading back to the barracks where their Royal visitor is understood to have spent the afternoon.
