Serious injuries after ute hits drain

A 23-year-old driver was seriously hurt when his ute left the road and hit a drain pipe in Minding early this morning.

At about 4.30am a silver Mitsubishi Tritan utility was travelling west on Arthur Road, Minding when it veered to the left of the road and entered a drainage culvert, a police spokesman said.

The driver has lost control and hit a drainage pipe, causing the vehicle to roll a number of times, coming to rest on its roof.

The 23-year-old driver of the vehicle received serious injuries and was flown to RPH by the Rescue 1 helicopter.
