Ram-raid jewel thief on the run
A man who ram-raided a Success shopping centre before stealing jewellery this morning is on the run from police.
The thief drove a vehicle similar to a utility through the bollards and doors of Gateway Shopping Centre on Beeliar Drive before hitting several kiosks and ramming into the jewellery store about 2.30am.
The man, who is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, then smashed glass panels in the store and stole several items of jewellery.

He fled on foot after becoming stuck as he tried to leave in the vehicle.
He was wearing dark-coloured clothing at the time of the incident.
Police investigations are continuing and anyone who saw any suspicious activity is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
