Car hits tree in Mandurah

A man is fighting for his life after a car crash near Mandurah this afternoon.

A car travelling along Mandurah Terrace in Silver Sands hit a tree at about 4.15pm.

St John Ambulance took a man to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.

Police are also investigating a crash that killed a man in Port Hedland yesterday morning.

At about 10.30am a man was driving along Wilson Street when his Nissan Patrol and a Kenworth Prime mover collided.

The 32-year-old driver was flown to Royal Perth Hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

A 35-year-old passenger was taken to Port Hedland Health campus with non-life threatening injuries.
