The Wheel viewers are obsessed with contestant's unusual hobby
Viewers of Michael McIntyre's The Wheel were intrigued by contestant Tiago.
What did you miss?
It was another eventful episode of Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel, with topics ranging from boxing, to grime music, to Peppa Pig. This time, McIntyre’s celebrity panel consisted of Tony Bellow, Josie Gibson, Anton Du Beke, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Steph McGovern, Helen Flanagan, and Richard Osman. As contestants emerged from the Contestant Wheel, the race was on. As per usual, contestants had to answer questions based on these seven celebrities’ expertise for the chance of winning a lucrative cash prize.
While nobody managed to win last week, things seemed to be going better for this later batch of contestants. In particular, it was a contestant named Tiago who caught viewers’ eyes after he admitted his unusual obsession.
What, how and why?
The second contestant to emerge from the Contestant Wheel was Tiago, and in conversation with McIntyre, he revealed a rather unusual hobby.
“You’re very into Christmas, aren’t you Tiago?” McIntyre asked. “Obsessively in turn?”
”I am,” Tiago answered solemnly. “I’ve got an obsession with Christmas villages.” He then went on to explain how he owns a “fairly big” Christmas village that he makes additions for each year. He admitted the village takes up “most of the living room,” and most recently, added a ski lift to the model.
Over on X, viewers were intrigued by Tiago’s hobby. “Anyone else want to see Tiago’s Christmas village?” one asked. “We need to see Tiago’s Christmas village now he’s won the 82k!” another added. Meanwhile, a third user asked: “I'm sorry, why hasn't Tiago brought some pictures of his holiday village for us to see?”
Christmas villages aside, it was a good day for Tiago, as he managed to not only make it to the end of the show but also win the £82,000 jackpot.
What else happened during Michael McIntyre's The Wheel?
During the Money Spinner round on The Wheel, the category was military. The celebrities on the wheel were tasked with naming any rank or officer in the British Army.
But while the rest of the celebrities managed this with ease, it all changed once it was Helen Flanagan’s turn, as she answered with the word “army.” To which McIntyre responded” “Army is not correct. I’m so sorry Helen.”

"I didn't know, I'm so sorry,” Flanagan said. “I'm so hot! I got so red, I really didn't know. As soon as you said it, I was just like, 'Wow, no idea.”
Over on X, viewers were equally as amused by the answer. One user dubbed the moment “brilliant,” while another said: “I’m so embarrassed for her. Meanwhile, a third speculated that “she does that deliberately.”
Michael McIntyre's The Wheel airs every Saturday on BBC One.
