The Wheel star Big Narstie opted for celebrations over commiserations on Saturday, 16 November after player Nyarai shot herself in the foot by ignoring his advice.

Hosted by comedian Michael McIntyre, the latest episode of the BBC One gameshow also welcomed Taskmaster's Ed Gamble, I'm a Celebrity's Oti Mabuse, Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani, radio presenter Jordan North, and Friday Night Dinner's Tracy-Ann Oberman as guest experts in their respective fields.

Nyarai, who was the opening wheel-spinner of the night, chose theatre as her question category, but when the arrow landed on rapper Big Narstie, she didn't take his knowledge onboard and paid the price for it.

Their question was: "According to their official website, each performance of the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera uses 281... what?"

Costumes, roses, cast members or candles were the four possible answers, with Nyarai quickly narrowing it down to just costumes and candles.

"I think it might be candles because it's all spooky innit," pointed out Big Narstie, mock-cackling. "I think it could be candles because there could be bare scenes and some candles gotta be bigger than others; some burnt down, so it's like a pyramid of bigger candle, middle candle, smaller candle... and roach. You know what I mean?"

Bypassing any discussion, the contestant commented: "I'm thinking costumes, I'm going to lock in costumes."

In the end, presenter Michael confirmed that her celebrity advisor was indeed correct, as Big Narstie punched the air and said: "I got the first question! Let's have it!"

"Big Narstie... this is a moment where we have to commiserate with our contestants," noted Michael, as the star replied: "Oh yeah! Sorry, sorry. I usually get them wrong so I'm just chuffed. I'm well chuffed."

"If you could just wait just a few more seconds when she's down and then we can celebrate you getting your first question right in three series..." added the host of The Wheel.

Meanwhile, Ed later weighed in on the fact that heavy metal bands Mötley Crüe, Megadeth and Limp Bizkit all purposefully spell their names wrong when it came up in a later round.

"They're messing around with spellings all of the time these guys," he said. "You know, they're crazy, they're living on the fringes."

This got quite the laugh after contestant Martin revealed he'd get a hair transplant with his potential winnings from the show.

The Wheel airs Saturday evenings on BBC One and is available to stream via BBC iPlayer.
