The Traitors' Dan reveals why he enjoyed being banished from BBC show
Dan was the latest Faithful to leave the castle
What did you miss?
The Traitors' Dan has revealed he was a little relieved to be banished from the BBC show.
The 33-year-old bank risk manager, who has been diagnosed with autism, was banished from the castle in the latest episode. It came after several of his fellow contestants turned on him during the roundtable for lying to Minah about that day's mission.
Speaking on spin-off The Traitors: Uncloaked, he confessed that when he learned his fate he thought, "Thank God."
What, how and why?
In the mission, the contestants had to “mark” other people who then had gunk poured over them. Faithful Dan picked Minah, who is a Traitor, to be slimed but when she asked him about it he denied it. She ended up questioning his honesty, and several other people then elected to banish him.
Talking about his reaction to being booted out, Uncloaked host Ed Gamble said he looked as if he enjoyed it.
Dan agreed: "I was like, 'Oh my God, thank God, I get to get away from this lot.' I don't spend a lot of time surrounded by lots of people in my day to day life, so it was quite nice to just have that break."
"You are surrounded by people for a lot of hours everyday," he explained.

Dan also admitted it took him by surprise when his fellow Faithfuls started gunning for him.
“I wasn’t really expecting to get heat at that roundtable because I hadn’t heard anything from anybody that day,” he said. “I think everything was happening behind the scenes.”
What else did Dan say on The Traitors: Uncloaked?
Dan said the show was out of his comfort zone but that he "played the game the way I wanted to".
Gamble pointed out that he was "the only one honest enough to say, 'Well we are all in it for ourselves'," as opposed to doing everything for the team.
"I think one of the only Faithfuls to get voted out because they were so selfish, which I am quite proud of," Dan agreed with a laugh.
"But I think that probably comes as a result of my autism diagnosis as well, because I don’t typically follow the crowd in a lot of ways. I am not scared to stand on my own and do something a bit different. So I was quite proud of how that came across."
The Traitors airs on BBC One on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.
The Traitors: Uncloaked airs after the main show on BBC Two.
