The Traitors fans predict Armani's 'downfall' as she tells off fellow contestants
Armani ruffled feathers as she told her fellow Traitors to be 'more assertive'
What did you miss?
The Traitors’ Armani irritated viewers when she gave her co-conspirators a telling off just a day into the new series of the BBC show.
Host Claudia Winkleman picked the financial investigator from London to be one of the Traitors on the third series of the tense show, along with retired opera singer Linda and call centre manager Minah. The three are tasked with killing off the remaining contestants – known as Faithfuls – while avoiding detection themselves.
But it seems Armani hasn’t been impressed with the way Linda and Minah are handling themselves so far, serving up a critique that went down badly during one of the Traitors’ secret chats in the turret. Both looked stunned as Armani told them they could be “more assertive” and viewers were on their side, saying she had a “cheek”.
What, how and why?
Armani spoke up at the end of the episode that aired on Thursday, 2 January, after the contestants were given a tricky challenge in which they had to answer questions and fill a huge Traitor statue with gunpowder. If they won, the Faithfuls would have a night free from any murders. But the Traitors wanted to fail as they hoped to pick off another contestant that night, so they had to try to sabotage the mission without arousing suspicion.
Armani waded in and deliberately tried to wrong foot the others by suggesting an incorrect answer to a question. But Linda and Minah were a lot more careful and didn't do much to derail the task, and the Faithfuls ended up winning.
Letting rip that night in the turret, Armani told her fellow Traitors: “I’ve been very vocal… I do feel like you both could be a little bit more assertive.”
She went on: “People are looking for people to follow because no-one has got a clue. Maybe there just needs to be a few little bits more, not necessarily even names, but just a few more theories.”
Her fellow Traitors both looked shocked, with Minah’s jaw dropping. “Armani has kindly given me and Linda some advice, feedback, whatever you want to call it — she said we are not doing enough,” she stormed in a piece to camera. “I was like, wow, I am not taking her feedback. I think she is doing too much.”

“She is very confident and that confidence is turning into cockiness for her,” Minah went on. “I don’t like it. If she is going down I am not going to be on the boat with her. So, I think she needs to be a little bit careful.”
What did viewers say?
Fans were surprised to see Armani have a dig at Linda and Minah, with one asking on X: “Did Armani really just tell Minah and Linda that they aren’t doing enough!?”
Many suggested she would end up being banished from the castle herself. “Armani is getting far too cocky, the cheek to say Linda and Minah are not doing enough,” said one fan. “If she is not careful she will be the one voted out!!”
Another posted: “I really want Armani to get outed as a Traitor. She's just too loud and a bit cocky. Pride comes before a fall.”
"Armani will be humbled in the coming episode," said another. "I can sense her sharp downfall."
“Armani having the cheek to say Minah isn’t doing enough when she’s basically installing a big neon sign saying, ‘I am a Traitor’,” said somebody else.
Another person commented: “Looking forward for Armani to be double crossed by the other two Traitors. Only a matter of time…”
One remarked: "Armani is playing this game ALL WRONG! She is being too obvious! Stop trying to be the head Faithful AND the head Traitor, it didn’t work for Amanda or Paul, it’s not going to work for you."
The Traitors airs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. Episode three is on at 9pm on BBC One on Friday, 3 January.
