The Masked Singer: Queen identity 'unveiled' by clever fans

The Masked Singer Australia fans are becoming more and more confident in their choices of who is under the remaining masks as we get closer to the much anticipated grand finale.

And just days after the celebrities under the Bushranger and the Puppet masks were ‘leaked’ on Wikipedia pages, fans are now certain they have picked who is under the Queen mask.

Kate Miller-Heidke remains viewers’ number one pick for who is behind the Queen mask, one of the stand-out voices on the show since the first episode.

The Queen clues explained

The Queen’s early clues included her “desire to rule the world”, a link to Tasmania, Italian roots, and that she’s known highs and lows – “sometimes at the same time.”

But it was the line “13 times I’ve been a bridesmaid but never the bride”, that had fans flocking to social media to lock in singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke, as she’s been nominated for an ARIA Award on 13 occasions, is yet to win one.

The 38-year-old is also a classically trained opera singer which would fit with those “Italian” roots.

Then there were hints of how she “rules the world”, a photo of an astronaut and a picture of the stars on the European Union that fans all think points to her stint as Australia's Eurovision contestant with the song "Zero Gravity".

And her hint of “travelling by coach” could be pointing to her performance at Coach-ella.

There have also been references to some of her songs, including a line about being “one of the crowd” - which could point to her song ‘Caught in the Crowd’.

Another clue points to her song ‘Last Day on Earth’, while her collaboration with The Beards to raise money for bowel cancer is also being hinted at.

Her link to Tasmania could potentially refer to the fact she has a Tasmanian vocal coach, and the line of "many stages in [her] life" is not a lie as she has of course performed on many stages.

Then there is her celebrity connection clue from Episode 8.

“When Jay-Z and I played the same gig, he was very persuasive but I worked that crowd just as hard,” the clue said.

And as fans pointed out she performed at the same Coachella as the famous rapper.

Viewers lock in Kate Miller-Heidke

While there are many clues that point to the star, plenty of people were adamant they knew who it was from the second they heard her voice.

“I’m so confident that the Queen is Kate Miller-Heidke that if it’s not her I’ll shave my hair off,” one brave viewer tweeted.

“I KNOW THOSE HIGH NOTES! DEFINITELY KATE MILLER-HEIDKE,” another person said.
