The Masked Singer 2023 winner announced after emotional finale

The final three celebrities performers were revealed during Tuesday night's episode.

After weeks of wild performances and crazy costumes, the winner of The Masked Singer Australia 2023 has been announced.

Snow Fox won the coveted title during Tuesday night’s finale after a chilling rendition of Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman, beating out Grim Reaper and Bouncer.

While Mel B thought the performer was Samantha Jade, Dave Hughes predicted Kelly Rowland and Abbie Chatfield locked in Jessie J, Chrissie Swan correctly guessed that it was vocal powerhouse and Eurovision fan-favourite Dami Im.

Speaking about her win, Dami said: “It feels amazing to be out [from under the mask]. I actually won The X Factor here, on this same stage, exactly 10 years ago. And now I’m back winning this!”

Meanwhile, Abbie Chatfield correctly guessed runner-up Grim Reaper was singer-songwriter and frontman of Savage Garden.

“I never thought I’d do this show [and] I’m so glad I did,” he shared after being unmasked. “It’s been like a warm hug, and I really needed that. I’ve had a tough year.”

Abbie teared up following Darren’s unmasking as he had been instrumental in her journey to come out as bisexual, and admitted his song Affirmation is her “favourite song of all time”.

Earlier in the episode second runner-up Bouncer was revealed to be ARIA-award winning musician Conrad Sewell, who described the experience as an “emotional rollercoaster”.

“Everyone was like, you’re really going to go on a journey. They were right! I had a great time,” he remarked.

The Healing Hands hitmaker also said he was excited for his son Memphis to find out Bouncer’s identity, and announced that he and his partner have another child on the way.

Courtney Act

To fans, it was pretty obvious who was behind the mask but Chrissie Swan was the only member of The Masked Singer to guess Cowgirl's identity correctly.

After a rendition of We Are Young, most of the panel were left scratching their heads with Mel B locking in comedian Kathy Griffith, Abbie Chatfield RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Chad Michaels and Hughesy naming Dolly Parton.

But it was Chrissie Swan who successfully tipped Cowgirl to be none other than Courtney Act.

When asked why Courtney decided to perform incognito, she said: “I think some people see Courtney as a mask, but I thought ‘I wonder what it would be like wearing an actual mask.’ And it’s kind of thrilling because you have no fear because no one can see you, and if you mess up, it’s like it’s not about you, it’s the cow that did it.”

Osher went deep, stating: “You’re a very important voice in our community, but over the past 12 months some people have seen you as a bit of a threat Courtney.”

Responding, Courtney said: “Yeah, they have, isn’t it weird! The funny thing is, I feel like I could read to children dressed as Cowgirl, but there might be some people who argue that I shouldn’t read to children dressed like this.

“But you know what I realise is the haters are an extremely small minority and that resoundingly, myself, drag performers, LGBTQ+ people are loved and supported by everyone in our community, there’s more visibility than ever, the message of queer people really is the message of the Spice Girls, it is that message of be who you are, be authentic.”

Brendan Fevola

Brendan Fevola has been unmasked as The Captain on The Masked Singer Australia, after being introduced as a wild card on the hit singing show.

Following a performance of DJ Ötzi’s Hey Baby, Mel B, Chrissie Swan and Abbie Chatfield locked in Wally Lewis, Rick Springfield, and Gyton Grantley as their guesses.

However, Dave Hughes was the only judge to guess the ex-Carlton player.

“Fev, you absolutely brought the party tonight," Chrissie Swan said, with Fev replying: “I always do, Chrissie, I always do.”

When asked how he was able to keep his involvement a secret from friend and radio host Dave Hughes, Fev admitted it was hard not to tell him, before teasing: “Hughesy, you finally got one right!”

Dave replied: “We’ve been wanting you to be on this show since the start, and finally you’re on the show mate!”

Fev admitted that it was about time he made an appearance on the show because his name has been thrown into the ring so many times over the years when the judges make their guesses.

“I’m guessed every year. My Instagram and Twitter goes nuts, saying this is 100 per cent you, so I thought I’d finally come in as a wildcard, a firecracker, and bring the party," he said.

Amy Sheppard

Despite a stellar performance of Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams, Orca was unmasked as Aussie singer-songwriter Amy Shepherd on The Masked Singer Australia.

Known for her success in pop band Sheppard, who are the brains behind the number 1 single Geronimo, and for her solo hits including Nothing But Wild, Amy managed to evade all of the judges' guesses.

Abbie, Chrissie, Mel and Dave decided to lock in Daryl Hannah, a member of the Dixie Chicks, Kate DeAraugo and Neighbours' Mischa Barton.

When Chrissie joked that it must feel like cheating to perform without her bandmates, Amy replied: “It does a bit! [But] I've been doing my solo country music project. I'm still doing Sheppard, that's still going, we’re about to release our fourth album.

"But I decided that I wanted to discover who I was as an artist outside the band. So, this has been a great platform for me to do that.”

La Toya Jackson

US singer and Grammy Award-winning songwriter, La Toya Jackson was unmasked on The Masked Singer Australia.

She was booted from the show after a rendition of Doja Cat and SZA’s Kiss Me More, with Abbie, Chrissie and Dave locking in Fran Drescher, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and Julia Styles as their guesses, whilst Mel successfully guessed La Toya.

La Toya was quick to compliment Mel’s guessing skills and joked about being put in a burger costume when she is vegetarian.

When asked why she decided to participate in the Aussie singing show, she said: “I love this show. I will go anywhere to do this show. This is my third [time on the show] actually.”

She then said she didn’t even let her family know what she was up to. “They don’t know. I didn’t tell anyone; my mother doesn’t even know! We were all on a family conference yesterday, they said ‘What are you doing in Australia?’ I said ‘Just work, just having fun…’”

Pete Murray

Australian singer-songwriter Pete Murray was unmasked as Tiny on the celebrity singing show after a roaring rendition of Post Malone’s Wrapped Around Your Finger.

Mel, Abbie and Dave locked in Billy Ocean, The Teskey Brothers and Post Malone as their guesses, whilst Chrissie took out the first successful guess of the season.

“Your kids are going to lose their minds tonight," Chrissie gasped after Pete was unmasked.

Pete agreed and explained that his kids thought he was on the road doing promotions for his upcoming tour.

Dave commented that he hadn’t seen Pete since his jaw-dropping Men’s Health cover earlier this year. Mel teased Dave, saying Pete gave him something to aspire to.

Pete joined the banter, stating: “Hughesy, let’s hang out, I’ll get you in shape.”

Charlotte Crosby

International reality TV star Charlotte Crosby has been unmasked as the Space Fairy on The Masked Singer.

The 33-year-old looked absolutely delighted as the judges gasped at her unveiling, with Charlotte revealing it was “horrendous” underneath the mask.

Charlotte is well known for gracing our screens over the years on a range of reality TV shows, including Geordie Shore, Celebrity Big Brother UK and I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

The guessing panel had no idea it was Charlotte behind the mask and they locked in some of the world’s most talented professional singers, Marcia Hines, Jesy Nelson, Joss Stone and Mary J Blige.

“You’re telling me you think I was that good? I’ve never sung in front of anyone in my life!” Charlotte gasped when she heard the guesses.

Charlotte revealed that she was originally meant to perform on The Masked Singer Australia in 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic upended her plans. The UK star quarantined in a hotel room for a month, during which time her relationship at the time came to an end.

Charlotte thanked The Masked Singer Australia for changing her life as she claimed that she never would have ended up with her current partner, who she’s recently had a child with, if it weren’t for her month-long hotel stay.

“Everything got better from then. So, I’ve got to thank The Masked Singer – and COVID, really!” she said.

Shaynna Blaze

The Block judge and interior design queen Shaynna Blaze was revealed as Bluebottle on The Masked Singer.

Despite a rousing rendition of Blondie’s Call Me and stellar effort against Tiny, she was selected by the panel to have her identity uncovered.

None of the judging panel guessed correctly, locking in Emma Bunton, Florence Welch, Gladys Knight and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

Following her unmasking, Shaynna and Chrissie admitted that they had been texting about whether she was under one of the masks.

“I texted you and you said you couldn’t get here even if you wanted to!” Chrissie said.

“I was busy!”, Shaynna replied, before revealing that she had in fact been flying around the country throughout the experience in order to tick off her many commitments.

“[Singing] was something I squashed for a long time, but now it’s time to bring the vocal chords back out again I think.”

Summer Warne

Late cricket star Shane Warne's daughter, Summer Warne, has been unmasked as Bad Avocado on The Masked Singer after an emotional rendition of Coldplay’s Yellow.

The guessing panel threw out a number of guesses ranging from Michelle Payne to Jacqui Lambie and Alyssa Healy to Pettifleur Berenger.

Speaking about her decision to go on the show, Summer said: “My Dad loved me singing, and my whole life I’ve wanted to do that kind of thing. He was like, ‘You’ve got to do it, Summer, you’ve got to do it’. I was like, ‘No, it’s not for me’. I was too scared. [But ahead of The Masked Singer Australia], I had his little voice in my head going ‘Just do it – stuff what anyone thinks, just do it’.

“I want to make Dad proud. Singing Yellow was absolutely amazing - that song was his funeral song. Chris Martin sang it at the state memorial.”

Sandra Sully

10 News First presenter Sandra Sully was unmasked as Fawn in a shocking reveal. Despite impressing with her take on The Pussycat Dolls' Don’t Cha, she wasn’t able to top Tiny’s rendition of Katrina and the Waves’ Walking on Sunshine.

None of the guessing panel, Mel B, Dave Hughes, Chrissie Swan and Abbie Chatfield, guessed right, instead going for Carrie Bickmore, Pip Edwards, Chloe Hayden and Jackie O.

Following her unmasking, Sandra said: “I read the news every night and tragedy happens all the time, really heavy stuff, but you do only live once. Life is short - don’t live a life of regret.”

She then confessed to Dave Hughes that she had actually been rehearsing for her time on the show in his neighbour’s apartment.

“[I was] hoping like heck that I wasn’t going to run into you, or that you would hear me!”

Brian Austin Green

Former Beverly Hills, 90210 star and Hollywood heartthrob Brian Austin Green was revealed as Crash Test Dummy in the season premiere of the show.

Despite a heartfelt rendition of Shawn Mendes’ Stitches, he failed to beat Bad Avocado’s take on NEIKED, Mae Muller and Polo G’s Better Days and was eliminated from the competition.

None of the judges - Mel B, Dave Hughes, Chrissie Swan and Abbie Chatfield - guessed Brian Austin Green as Crash Test Dummy, and instead nominated Nick Carter, Niall Horan, John Steffensen and Donnie Wahlberg as his possible identity.

“You guys aren’t cut out for this job!” Brian joked after he was unmasked.

“I’m turning 50 this year, I’ve had 50 years so far of an incredible life. I took a lot for granted though. I had a neurological issue come up in my life. I couldn’t speak, I couldn’t say more than one word every 30 seconds. So, I’m at a place in my life where I’m just trying to say yes to everything and experience things. I really feel like this is the second part of my life.”

This familiar voice sounds like Aussie music star Conrad Sewell. If it is Conrad, let's just say he didn't quite hide his incredible vocal talent from fans. "Think it's pretty obvious it's Conrad Sewell as I definitely recognise that voice underneath the Kangaroo mask," someone wrote on Instagram.

People are convinced it's the Healing Hands singer, writing, "That's got to be Conrad Sewell and I'm excited" and "That's Conrad Sewell! I can't believe we're all guessing before the premiere."

"Worst kept secret ever," someone else commented.

Snow Fox

We're wondering if Snow Fox thinks you wish your girlfriend was hot like her... with a voice that sounds like Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger. After all, she is a judge on the US version of the show.

Many fans say Snow Fox sounds familiar, but can't quite put their finger on who it is. Popular guesses also include Amber Riley, Jessica Mauboy and Rita Ora, although it's unlikely to be the latter two as they're currently judges on The Voice for rival network Channel 7.

Grim Reaper

We're feeling this singer is truly, madly, deeply an Aussie icon. Fans are ecstatic at the thought Grim Reaper is Savage Garden frontman, Darren Hayes. That voice is something we've definitely heard before.

Fans think they've cracked the code and have taken to the comments writing, "Obviously Darren Hayes" and "This is Darren Hayes 100%".

Another contender is Human Nature's Michael Tierney, but we're REALLY hoping for Darren.
