The Block star's brutal dig at influencers in fiery rant: 'Why are they here?'
One of the new Block contestants has taken a savage swipe at the influencers who quit the show after 48 hours in a fiery rant during Sunday night's first episode.
Elle Ferguson and Joel Patfull arrived on the set of The Block to the shock of one of the other contestants Sarah-Jane, who said they looked "famous".
Elle then revealed she was a social media influencer before it cut to Sarah-Jane saying "no comment" to producers.
Sarah-Jane's pre-show interview was then played, where she savaged the influencers.
“Social influencers … Some I respect obviously,” she said.
“Some make a huge career out of it! Look at your Kim Kardashians and your Rozalia Russians and people like that … Bec Judd! Good on them. But people who just go on shows to (boost their) social media, I don’t have time for that s**t. Like, don’t waste my time.”
Sarah-Jane then pointed out Elle had 600,000 followers on Instagram, before hitting out at them again.
"She's got s***loads of money – why are they here?" she continued.
Sarah-Jane however won't have to worry about Elle and Joel for long, with the pair packing up their tools just two days into the competition.

Scott Cam slams influencers
Host Scott Cam slammed the influencer couple prior to the show airing, saying they left in the middle of the night with no explanation.
While the couple has insisted they left filming of The Block Tree Change because Joel's mother Trish had fractured her neck during a fall at her home in Adelaide, but Scott revealed the influencer couple didn't even tell anyone they were leaving.
"They didn’t give us a reason why they were leaving. They never mentioned anything to us about visiting their sick mother," Scott told news.com.au.
Scott shared that production flew Elle and Joel to Adelaide before The Block started and put them in a hotel so they could see Joel's mum, but they returned to Victoria and "said everything's fine".
The host added that the cast and crew were shocked to find out the couple had left.
"They never spoke to us, they just left in the middle of the night," he said.
"I still don’t know why they left. They never mentioned their sick mother in the 48 hours before they left, or after they left. The executive producer spoke to them (after they left) and they didn’t mention their sick mother then either."
Scott then explained that if Joel and Elle had shared their reason for needing to leave, The Block would have temporarily shut down production for them to be with their family, adding it's been done in the past.
It came after Scott told TV Week that the show wasn't "on brand" for Elle and Joel.
Apparently, Scott also claimed the influencer pair complained that "the toilet paper was too scratchy".
Joel and Elle have since slammed the claims, saying they left the show after the first challenge due to a genuine family emergency.
