Terrifying moment huge truck completely ignores red light
Heart-stopping footage has caught the moment a truck driver ran a red light outside a popular tourist spot in Queensland.
Dashcam footage captured by a waiting car outside Movie World near the Gold Coast shows the truck soaring past as other cars come to a halt at the lights.
As the truck runs the red light, it suddenly brakes to avoid hitting other cars driving through the intersection.
A car going through the intersection then stops and allows the truck to continue driving through.
The clip was posted to Facebook by Dashcam Owners Australia and some jumped to the truck driver’s defence.
“To be fair, the lights only just changed about a minute prior. How was he supposed to stop in time? You lot that don’t drive trucks have no idea,” one said.
Others claimed the truck driver was not paying attention.
“Does it take you ‘about a minute’ to realise when a traffic light has changed to red?” Another said.
