Terrifying moment canoe becomes 'stuck' on alligator's back
Terrifying footage shows the moment a canoe becomes ‘stuck’ on an alligator’s back.
A group of people got the shock of their lives when an alligator suddenly appeared under their canoe in Florida, US.
“That moment when you realise your canoe is stuck on an alligator’s back,” See Through Canoe, a company based in St Petersburg, Florida, posted on Instagram on September 18.
They wrote on YouTube it felt like the alligator stayed there “for what seemed like forever”.
The alligator stayed for a minute before it “eventually backed up a few feet and then submerged”.
“He took the canoe with him as he backed up, but once he submerged, the canoe was freed,” the group said on Instagram.
The incident comes after a Texas great-grandmother shot and killed an alligator, claiming that it ate her miniature horse on Monday.
Judy Cochran, who became the mayor of Livingston, Texas, in May, killed the giant reptile at her ranch. It tipped the scales at 263kgs and was more than three-metres long.
