Terrifying footage shows caravan destroyed in highway rollover

Terrifying footage has captured the moment a driver loses control of the caravan they are towing on a busy Queensland highway.

The short clip of the crash on the Bruce Highway last Thursday, was shared to the Dash Cam Owners Australia Facebook page, and shows the caravan beginning to veer over into the right hand lane before moving left again suddenly.

It then appears that the caravan fishtails before rolling into the ditch on the median strip near Beerwah.

As the caravan rotates during the crash it is reduced to rubble.

Fortunately, the 4WD towing the caravan does not flip as well.

“The Jeep Cherokee & Caravan attempted to overtake another vehicle, it appears that he realises he was cutting off the car in the RH lane and tried to get back into LH lane and over corrected, in the process he lost control of both car and van,” the post claimed on Facebook.

Luckily the driver and passenger of the vehicle towing the caravan escaped injury.

The clip of the shocking accident has been viewed more than 113,000 times since it was uploaded on Sunday.
