Boris Becker just can’t help himself.

The German tennis legend has re-ignited his bizarre feud with Nick Kyrgios with an unprovoked social media sledge.

Kyrgios posted a photo of himself at the 2019 Laver Cup on Instagram on Wednesday, captioning the pic “different breed.”

The photo racked up tens of thousands of likes and comments, but one from Becker caught Kyrgios’ attention.

“In your dreams,” Becker wrote.

And of course Kyrgios wasn’t about to let it slide.

“Hating like a little groupie. Lingering around like a bad smell, maybe hoping to get more likes and follows,” the Aussie replied.

“Unfortunately never be as influential.”

And Kyrgios also hit out on Twitter.

“He’s gone from wanting to coach me, obviously for his desperate need of a pay check, to hating on my Instagram. Strange world we live in,” he added.

Becker and Kyrgios has been involved in a nasty social media spat for the last few months.

In June, the 52-year-old Becker labelled Kyrgios a “rat” after the Australian slammed his fellow tennis stars for their seemingly lackadaisical approach to combating the coronavirus crisis.

Kyrgios was highly critical of the likes of Novak Djokovic, who contracted the virus after hosting the ill-fated Adria tennis tour in Serbia and Croatia.

“Rats? For holding someone accountable? Strange way to think of it champion, I'm just looking out for people,” Kyrgios shot back at Becker at the time.

“WHEN my family and families all over the world have respectfully done the right thing. And you have a goose waving his arms around, imma say something.

“Boris Becker is a bigger doughnut than I thought. Can hit a volley, obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed though.”

Becker then took aim at Kyrgios over his decision to skip the recent US Open.

“It is a shame that the likes of Nick Kyrgios are not here either but I always expected him to cancel as I doubt he really loves the game,” Becker wrote in a column for the Daily Mail.

Becker also criticised other top players such as Aussie World No.1 Ash Barty, Simona Halep and Elina Svitolina for skipping the New York grand slam.

“No individual is bigger than the sport and we are talking about fighting for the future of the game, about saving a lot of jobs that depend on these tournaments going ahead,” he added.

“The US Tennis Association were between a rock and a hard place, and appear to have done a good job in creating the bubble and getting this on.

“If in your heart you are a competitor, and you have been starved of opportunities, why would you not be desperate to participate in one of the great events again after all this time?”
