Teen's body lay in flat for eight days, say police
Police investigating the suspected murder of a man in a flat said his body was believed to have been there for eight days.
Norfolk Police said the body found in Norwich was that of a 19-year-old man from London.
Officers were called to the ground floor flat on Lefroy Road in the Mile Cross area of the city at 22:40 BST on Saturday following concerns a man had been attacked.
On Sunday, detectives said they did not believe there was a risk to the wider public.
A Home Office post-mortem examination carried out on Monday confirmed the man died following a single stab wound to the chest.
Police have urged anyone with information about the stabbing to contact them.
Det Insp Dave McCormack said: "This is a complex investigation, and we are working our way methodically through the evidence.
"The man's body was in the flat for approximately eight days before police were alerted so we need to follow several lines of inquiry."
He said no arrests had been made.
"Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious or has information about the incident," he added.
A police cordon remains in place, house-to-house inquiries will continue and CCTV footage will be reviewed.
The force said it was working with counterparts in the Metropolitan Police.
