Teens arrested after brazen stabbing
Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was allegedly stabbed in broad daylight outside a busy Melbourne train station.
Police arrived at the North Richmond train station shortly after 10am on Thursday, locating a 53-year-old man with life-threatening injuries on Victoria St.
He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Following a public appeal for information, Victoria Police have revealed two teenagers were arrested about 150km southeast of Melbourne on Friday.
Officers allegedly seized a kitchen knife when taking the pair into custody.
In a statement, a n Victoria Police spokeswoman said it was believed the parties were known to each other.
She said a 16-year-old boy was charged later the same day with intentionally causing serious injury, assault with a weapon and drug possession.
A 16-year-old girl was released pending further inquiries.

The teenage boy has been released on bail to attend a Children’s Court on a later date.
